The Steps In Learning Morse Code

If learning Morse Code is your wish, you can actually do it. With these tips, master it just like how you master a new language. Here is how you should get started.

The first approach should start by a careful listening of slow recordings. You will be hearing a combination of beeps. Dahs and dits are long and short beeps. A short pause separates each letter equivalent while a three time longer break separates each word.

Referring each English alphabet to the combination of beeps is the next step to do. Use the basic chart if you are a beginner then eventually resort to the advanced one for more characters like punctuations or abbreviated phrases. Matching the beeping combinations with the letter equivalent follows.

Practice is really needed for one to grasp the matter faster. Try translating basic words to start with. Write them down on a piece of paper and also speak them out loudly. You may also transmit children's stories for more practice. Eventually, you will discover that you have already familiarizes the method.

It will also help you if you memorize first the easy letters such as A until you get to those with the longer equivalents. Focus first on the commonly used letters and then the least ones. Also, making associations can help you retain the information. For each letter, think of something that it sounds alike.

Enjoy studying this new language and you will effortlessly grasp it. Your friends can also be your buddies in dealing with this. Create a game that uses this method. Use this as the language of your secret journal. By applying this to your everyday stuff, you will soon be like a pro.
