At times we get very tired of people letting us down. We get very frustrated and aggravated when an individual doesn't do what we would like them to do or what we feel they should do. We get angry when others don't follow through with what they mentioned they were planning to do. We spend a lot of moment and energy receiving mad and talking about them when maybe we should commit more time and energy on encouraging.
Maybe our expectations are too high of them. Maybe they really had good motives. Or it could be that possibly they just don't care. It's really hard to know the real reasons behind why others let us lower. When we put our wish in others and expect more than they can deliver, we need to action back and determine if what we are asking of them is realistic. We should believe about these things:
The last question is key. What other options do we have rather than counting on others? When we acquire the focus off of what they are performing (or not doing) that is really irritating us, we can step back and see their side of the account. They may be working with a frustrating scenario we don't even understand about. They may have situations beyond their control that keeps them from following through with us. They may not have the understanding, skill or desire to do what we all are asking of them.
Rather than getting aggravated with others when they let us straight down, let's look for ways to help them. Let's look for what we can do for them. Let's be more involved about their situation and realize that when we aid them, it will help us as well. We will become far better people. We will become better audience when we decide to find out what all is going on their lives. We will be able to hear and help.
It's all about a mindset. We can get irritated and all upset about the scenario or we can do something about it. If we pick to let it go and find out how we can aid them, we will take the concentrate off of us and on them. God wants us to stop focusing on ourselves and start paying attention on others. When others let us down, that may be God saying "hey, they require your help" and He desires us to use that possibility to be a see for Him. God will never let us down so we can always put our desire and trust in Him.Subsequent time someone lets you straight down, do this:1.Request them what is heading on in their lives 2. Think about how you can aid.
