These certifications can be merchant specific like the kinds offered by organizations such as Microsoft, CISCO, Oracle or they may be merchant neutral like the ones provided from Project Management Institute, International Information System Security Certification Consortium etc. These certifications are recognized planet over and often used as a benchmark to evaluate the capabilities of an IT professional.
